Terms of Service

By creating a LOLOIT account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service.

LOLOIT is an independent campus tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any school, university, or institution. The Service is provided for the convenience of students, course representatives, and faculty.

LOLOIT provides campus productivity and community features — including schedules, canteen ordering, events, study resources, messaging, and similar tools (the "Service"). Features and availability may change over time.

Much of the content on the Service is contributed by other users and by course representatives ("Course Reps"). We do not independently verify every listing, message, or post and are not responsible for user-submitted content.

You must provide accurate information to create an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. Institutional email addresses, where used, are provided by you and are not verified against any school record by us.

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, or infringing activity; to impersonate others; to upload malicious content; or to interfere with the Service or other users.

You are solely responsible for the content you post and the messages you send. Respect the privacy and rights of others.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on user-generated content.

Course Reps and other users act in their own capacity. LOLOIT does not employ, appoint, or authorize them to make commitments on behalf of any institution.

The LOLOIT name, logo, and software are owned by LOLOIT. User-submitted content remains yours, but by posting it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it as part of the Service.

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to the processing described there, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019.

Where the Service is provided to a campus community, data you provide is associated with your selected institution for multi-tenancy and relevance. We are a data controller independent of your institution.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOLOIT shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

You agree to indemnify LOLOIT against any claim arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
